Top Ideas for Kid's Christmas Gifts
First thing is first, if you are a Christmas celebrator, how is it time to shop for Christmas gifts already? Time has been pretty warped since 2020, but to be honest, I am very excited to be shopping for my Tiny Human this year. We are trying to stick to the minimum amount of gifts we need while still having a fun-filled Christmas morning. Here is one way to do that:
Gift something they want
This one is a bit of a no-brainer but still a necessary item on the Christmas list. Buy your child one item that is purely for fun and that they will enjoy opening on Christmas morning. The 'Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle' of gifts, if you will.
Gift something they need
Next, the more practical gift, an item your child needs. This item could be shoes, clothing, sports equipment, furniture needed for their room, hobby-related items, or anything they would be getting anyway but can make for a great gift to open on Christmas Day.
Gift something to wear
Similar to something they need, but this could be out of the norm. You could get your child a nice outfit, a new coat, a funny hat, house slippers, fluffy socks, or other fun accessories.
Gift something to Read
A fond Christmas memory for me was opening up several books wrapped in Christmas paper each year. My siblings and I always knew which gifts were books, but we had no idea which books they were. We loved Ispy books and Where's Waldo. I am sure there are a whole plethora of new exciting books to choose from now that will delight every child in your family. Depending on their age, you could even do a magazine subscription as well.
Gift for their room
Kids love to update their spaces just as much as we do. This gift should be personalized to your child; maybe they need a rug in their room, a new bookshelf, or a stuffed animal. Obviously, we think our prints would be a perfect addition to your child's bedroom as well!
Gift something to do
This gift is a fun idea that will last longer than Christmas morning. You could get museum tickets, sports tickets, even movie tickets will work. This gift is all about creating a memory and having something for them to look forward to doing with you.
Gift something for the whole family
A family gift can be anything you want! It could be a day at the park, a trip out of town, a puzzle, a board game for everyone to play, a popcorn maker for movie nights, family portraits.
Hopefully, this list will provide you with creative gift ideas for the children in your life. Here at Tiny Human Print Co. we are passionate about empowering and educating children and feel Christmas is an excellent time to do so. Take what you like from our version of a minimalist gift guide and share it with a friend!
